Microwave Mug Brownie Delight

Microwave Mug Brownie Delight

You know how some people sit for hours & hours online shopping, scrolling through ASOS and other brands to find the “perfect” outfit or piece? Well don’t get me wrong, sometimes I do that to… But if I’m just sitting on the sofa, it’s more than likely I’m scrolling through Pinterest trying to find a “PERFECT” recipe!

And a few weeks ago I did find the PERFECT recipe, for a ~Mug Brownie~ ! You might ask “WTH is a mug brownie?!” Well, even though it’s kinda quite obvious, (daahhhh it’s in the name), you basically make a little cake batter, pop it in your favourite (microwave safe) mug and then put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and BAMM, you have a one portion brownie! All in maximum 10 min. Great huh?

Original Delicious Recipe << Microwave Mug Brownie >>

 ~ Let’s Bake ~

You will need:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 pinch baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tbsp chocolate chips (extra if you want to add to the top)

For Mug Brownie Sunday’s:

  • a marshmallow or two
  • Serve with your favourite ice cream
  • Nutella or chocolate sauce to drizzle over
Let’s do this:

Add the butter and the brown sugar to a microwave safe mug and pop in the microwave on HIGH for 45 seconds, then remove the mixture from the microwave and stir with a fork. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. Stir in the cocoa powder. Add the flour, baking powder and salt, and stir until well combined. Mix in the chocolate chips, and add a handful to the top.

Optional: Push a marshmallow into the center of the brownie.

Set in the microwave for 2 minutes, but it varies from microwave to microwave.

Now you can take it out and enjoy with or without a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

I normally like to say something about my photo’s, but this time I think the photos speak for themselves. HOW can I say more than these photos can show?
