Easter Chocolate Nests

Easter Chocolate Nests

Okay.. so don’t judge me when I say these are the ultimate guilty pleasure. You only need 3 ingredients and they take 7 minutes to make… (well without the 30 min in the fridge.) No, but seriously I have totally eaten this straight from the bowl, it’s just a “chocolatey coconuty” goodness, what’s not to like.(!?)

You might have heard that you can make Easter nests from Shreddies (Shredded wheat), but they are not easy to find here.. so I kind of made my own recipe. But it is just Chocolate, coconut and oil, so you can’t really go wrong. Can you?

~Let’s Bake~

TIME: 40 min      SERVINGS: 7-10 (depends on preferred size)     DIFFICULTY: EASY PEASY

You will need:

  • 200g milk chocolate
  • a splash (ca. 1 tbs) flavor less oil, sunflower
  • Shredded coconut (add to your preferred consistency)
  • about 7 muffin forms

Let’s get started:

It’s kind of self explanatory but… melt the chocolate either in the microwave or over a water bath. Mix in a splash of the oil, so the consistency is a little thinner. Then all you do is add as much coconut as you want, and fill the muffin cups 2/3 of the way.

Chill in the fridge for about 30 min or until they are firm to the touch. You can add 3 mini eggs to the top as decoration.

Enjoy and happy Easter!
